Paul-Henri Thillardon Coup-Double is a wonderful floral, elegant Beaujolais from Chénas – one Beaujolais’ Cru Villages. It has pure cherry and red berries on the nose with wonderful hints of violet and white flower. The palate is alive with juicy redcurrant, delicate red cherry and raspberry flavours. It has a lovely marzipan finish with a mineral edge. It’s a truly delicious wine.
The wine undergoes whole-bunch carbonic maceration for 16 days and no pigeage so as to gently infuse the fruit with its juice, avoiding harsh extraction.
