Nicolas Reau ‘La Pentière’ Muscadet
Nicolas Reau ‘La Pentière’ Muscadet sur Lie is a crisp, elegant and dry wine. Aromas of apple, pear, and white fruit introduce a burst of freshness on the palate. With nine months of aging on the lees, there is a delicate mineral finish with a touch of Atlantic salinity.
This wine is made with organic Melon de Bourgogne grapes sourced from growers in Muscadet. Reau has named this venture La Réclame du Jour and helps with tending the vines, harvesting the grapes, and of course making the wine.
Nicolas Reau ‘La Pentière’ Muscadet sur Lie is natural, and organic, and made without the use of any additives.
A jazz and blues pianist until his early 20s, Reau had always been passionate about wine. A career change followed, and studies in winemaking and working with winemakers in Anjou was followed by the purchase of his first vineyard in 2002.
