Casina Bric ‘Mesdi’

Casina Bric ‘Mesdi’ is a premium Nebbiolo wine made from 100% hand-picked Nebbiolo grapes, harvested in early September. It presents a light ruby color with a subtle touch of garnet. On the nose, the wine offers aromas of sweet spices, dark chocolate, and fresh herbs. The taste is fresh and fruity, with medium-grippy tannins and well-balanced acidity that enhances its structure. The overall profile of Casina Bric ‘Mesdi’ is complex and delicate, suggesting excellent aging potential, allowing it to evolve beautifully over time.

Fermentation and skin contact for Casina Bric ‘Mesdi’ happen in stainless steel and cement tanks for up to 40 days. This method helps retain the wine’s freshness while developing the desired complexity. After fermentation, part of the wine ages in large wooden casks for 6 to 8 months, which imparts subtle wood nuances. The wine then rests for an additional 8 to 12 months, allowing it to achieve a harmonious balance between fruit, tannin, and acidity, showcasing its remarkable aging potential.

Gianluca Viberti founded Casina Bric in the heart of Barolo over a decade ago, following more than 20 years of experience in the vineyard. The estate sits at 460 meters above sea level, making it one of the highest in Barolo. Viberti farms organically and works with traditional methods in the cellar. His commitment to quality and respect for nature shines through in every bottle of Casina Bric ‘Mesdi.’
