Aphros Wines “Maresia” Vinho Verde
Aphros Wines ‘Maresia’ Vinho Verde is a Portuguese white wine made with the Loureiro grape.
In the far-north of Portugal, Loureiro is known for lighter wines, with high acidity, full of grapefruit, lime zest, lime blossom and salinity.
Aphros Wines ‘Maresia’ Vinho Verde is made in collaboration with the Terroirs Project. The Terroirs project was started to ‘…make delicious and affordable wines from sustainable and organic practices. By means of low-intervention, chemical-free winemaking.’
A low-intervention, white vinho verde is appropriately named Maresia, meaning the salty spray of the Atlantic ocean. It has aromas of bright lemon zest, a spritz-y vitality on the palate with a lasting saline finish.
