Vincent & Marie Tricot Rosé
Vincent & Marie Tricot Rosé comes from the volcanic clay-limestone soils of Auvergne. They farm organically and practice low-intervention viticulture to highlight terroir naturally. The wine is made from Gamay & Pinot Noir, grown on pre-phylloxera vines at their Orcet estate.
On the nose of Vincent & Marie Tricot Rosé you’ll find dewy red berries and vibrant citrus notes; think blood-orange and summer fruits. The palate is fresh, ample and lively with fine structure and a gentle tingling finish that underscores the minerality of the basalt-rich soils. This rosé carries a modest alcohol level (around 10.5% ABV), making it easy and elegant.
Vincent & Marie Tricot, Orcet, Auvergne
Vincent Tricot, originally from Anjou, was inspired by his first encounter with natural wine during a harvest in Beaujolais. He and Marie, eager to make a natural wine that embodied a sense of playfulness and authenticity. They acquired a small plot of 4.5 hectares in the early 2000s, later expanding to 10 hectares. They were particularly drawn to Auvergne’s extraordinary concentration of pre-phylloxera vines, a rare opportunity. Their approach to winemaking, perfected over years of experimentation, has been fully free of added sulfites since 2011, producing wines that are pure, lively, and easy-going in the best possible sense.
