Wine Tasting with Graham Herbert-Taylor, a Corkman, making wine in Le Marche, Central Italy.
Graham hails from just around the corner from L’Atitude, went to school next door in the Model School, spent his youth living above what is now Crowley’s music shop on Evergreen Street and wasted many an hour hanging out with any band that played in The Lobby Bar (the famous music venue that formerly occupied No. 1 Union Quay). Recently he has started making natural wine, so this is one Wine Goose we are delighted to welcome back to Cork!
Graham might have lived away from his home town for several years, but he has never lost his love for his native city and we are delighted to welcome him home for a night of tasting, interwoven with stories from near and afar.
Even his wine labels reflect his heritage, and his flagship wine ‘Echoes’ is an homage to Cork’s Echo Boys. These wines may be ‘made in Italy’, but they speak ‘pure Cork’!
Join us and Graham on November 15th at 7.30pm for ‘Cornered’ – a 30 year anecdotal journey from Cork City to the great unknown wine region of Le Marche, where we’ll get to taste ‘Echoes’ and a host of other wines made by this brilliant Corkman, as well as accompanying tastes from the region Graham now calls home.
This promises to be a highly entertaining evening, full of nostalgia and great tastes. As Graham says himself ‘a pure daycent, not-to-be-missed wine adventure!’
Tickets €40pp. Booking essential. Email info@latitude51.ie to book.
