Thursday 18th November
Beaujolais Nouveau Night is always a big night in our calendar and this year we’re going to really give it socks!
2 years ago we created a Parisian-style festival in the Old Apple Market on Barrack Street to honour the arrival of the first wine of the year and it was an absolutely magic night with 5 amazing wines, a delicious cassoulet by Ali’s Kitchen and one hell of an atmosphere. Last year, restrictions meant we had to celebrate at home, but we teamed up again with Ali’s Kitchen for our Beaujolais-at-Home boxes to recreate lots of mini Beaujolais Nouveau parties around the city and offer some very welcome levity during challenging times.
This year, on Thurs Nov 18th, wine lovers around France will take to the streets again in a series of festivals to welcome the first wine of 2021. Paris’ thriving natural wine scene has been the saviour of Beaujolais Nouveau and Beaujolais Nouveau Night has become one of the highlights on the Parisian wine calendar with many of the city’s natural wine bars getting involved and pouring nouveaux wines from a variety of top organic and biodynamic Beaujolais producers. So, on Nov 18th, we’re going to try to emulate, Cork-style, how our Gallic brothers and sisters will be celebrating in the City of Light that night. Weather permitting, we’re going to head out onto the Quay for our own Parisian-style street festival. We’ll have flights of Beaujolais Nouveau from our favourite Beaujolais producers to try – Foillard, Lapalu, Dufaitre, Chanudet, Desvignes and Domaine de la Plaigne, accompanied by a classic hot dish to keep you warm and plates of charcuterie and cheese.
This is a ticketed event. Tickets cost €40pp and include flight of 5 different Beaujolais and hot dish/platter. As we are still in Covid-times we will be staggering time slots to keep things safe and to avoid potential crowds. We’ll be kicking off at 4.30pm and slots will be in 2.25 hour intervals: 4.30 – 6.45pm; 6.45pm – 9.00pm and 9.00pm-11.15pm. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to book and indicate your preferred time slot. We will try to accommodate you as best we can.
It’s a street festival in November, so expect it to be cold – please dress warmly – dust off those ski jackets! Should the weather be really bad, we will take the celebrations indoors – note: L’Atitude will only be open that evening for Beaujolais Nouveau ticket holders to facilitate this.
Join us on November 18th and experience Beaujolais Nouveau Night like a Parisian!
